For swing gates, the inspection should include hinges, stops, arm alignment and mounting points as well as the electronics. Impact damage or a binding gate may need mechanical work before the motor can operate safely.

My ET remote stopped working but the gate opens from the wall button. Is it the motor?

That symptom can have more than one cause. Share the model, indicator lights and whether a second remote works. Power, controls, safety inputs and mechanical movement should be checked before replacing parts.

Can I program an ET remote myself?

Use the instructions for the exact receiver and remote model; programming procedures differ. If you want on-site help, the guide separates programming an existing compatible remote from supplying and programming a new one.

Can I mix brands and replace an ET with a Centurion?

You can, but like-for-like keeps your existing remotes and avoids re-engineering the rail and mounting. We only suggest a brand change when the install itself needs reworking.

Is the call-out fee charged on top of the repair?
