What’s in every visit
- Lawn: mowed at the right height for the season, edges done by hand where the mower can’t reach.
- Beds and hedges: weeded, tidied, trimmed; hedges shaped, not shaved.
- Swept and bagged: clippings raked off the pavers and into bags for the bin day. A big cutback makes more than the bin takes: that’s a bakkie load, priced on its own with loading and disposal confirmed in the quote.
- Eyes open: your gardener notices the leaking sprinkler, the gate scraping the lawn, the tap the pool filler drips from. One WhatsApp message with a photo saves a whole call-out.
Mowing height and frequency should suit the grass species, season and growth. Avoid removing too much leaf in one cut. An overgrown lawn may need staged mowing before routine maintenance can restore a consistent finish.
How a routine starts
The sequence is call, quote, garden. Phone or WhatsApp: describe the garden, or send photos, and we provide a guide price.
The first visit is a walk-through, not a cut. You show the gardener round: what stays, what goes, which rose sulks in winter, where the mower slows for the pavers, how the dogs work. Frequency gets agreed, and access gets agreed: a key, a code, or the latch left off on garden day.
Agree a regular visit day, the equipment supplied, access arrangements and what happens if weather or staffing changes affect the appointment. Confirm any cancellation terms with the schedule.
By the time we leave, the deliverable is plain: lawn mown and edges done, beds weeded, hedges clipped and the clippings bagged or gone, paving swept, the gate closed behind us, and a WhatsApp note of anything the crew spotted, from a dripping tap to a tree leaning the wrong way. Every job carries our 6-month workmanship guarantee: workmanship only; lawns and plants carry no warranties, and we don’t pretend they do.

Hedges and shrubs we clip ourselves. Big trees (anything over the roofline or the boundary) are specialist tree-felling work, and we quote it separately from routine maintenance.
And if there is a pool in the garden, the same leaf fall that feeds the flower beds ends up in the water, so pool maintenance by the same company keeps the skimming and the mowing on one schedule, one number.

What does a month of garden services cost?
The guide prices each visit by garden size. The monthly total depends on the agreed number of visits and any separately quoted cleanup or waste removal. Confirm the actual visit count, rather than assuming every month has four visits.
What if my garden has got away from me?
Start with a separately quoted once-off cleanup, then agree a maintenance schedule. The guide distinguishes cleanup work from a routine garden visit; waste removal is quoted separately.
Can I combine garden and handyman work?
Yes: same crew, same company. If the gate scrapes the lawn or the garden tap drips, the fix rides the visit it's spotted on.
Do I have to be home on garden day?
No, most regulars aren't. Access gets agreed at the walk-through: a key, a code, or the latch left off. The dogs learn the routine along with the roses, the gate closes behind us, and you get a WhatsApp note of anything the crew spotted.
Can I stop or pause the service?
Agree cancellation and notice terms in writing before starting a recurring service. Keep those terms with the visit schedule and price.
